A: I am following the Public Health of Ontario and the CMTO standards and recommendations. I recommend visiting the CMTO's website and clicking on the Covid 19 tab to better understand what we are doing to keep everyone safe from Covid. You can also get the Coles notes in our Responsibility tab.
Q: What type of massage do you do?

Q: Do I have to wear a mask?
A: Masks are required for Patients and Practitioners to wear until June 11, 2022. After this date it will be up to the patient and practitioner to determine if they feel comfortable with or without a mask during treatment.
Q: What is Dry Needing Acupuncture?
A: Dry needling is a modern treatment designed to ease muscular pain.
A practitioner inserts one or several filiform needles into the skin. Filiform needles are fine, short, stainless steel needles that don't inject fluid as they are not hollow. Hence the name "dry"
Practitioners place the needles in "trigger points" in the muscle or tissue. This helps release the knot and any muscle pain or spasm. The needles remain in the skin for a short period of time and can be stimulated.
Q: Can you Bill Separately for acupuncture as my insurance separates massage and acupuncture?
A: No, Dry Needling acupuncture is billed under massage as it is a part of the massage therapy treatment working within the scope of practice.
Q: What is Hot Stone Massage?
A: The stones are smooth and flat and made from volcanic rock type called basalt. These stones are chosen because they retain heat. The stones used are placed in hot water to warm up before being applied.
The practitioner will be holding the stone while massaging the patient. This prevents any burning to the patient as the stones can get very hot and if left on the skin in one area for too long, could burn the patient. This Modality allows the therapist to get deeper into the muscles without using aggressive pressure, helping the patient relax yet further.

Q: Does Iaso Therapy provide direct billing?
A: No, not at this present time.
Q: Should I tip the massage therapist?
A: That is at your discretion. There are many ways to show gratitude Some people would like to show it by tipping and so I offer that option to my patients.
Q: How often should I get a massage?
A: It depends on the individual persons needs and their financial ability. Every 30-60 days is recommended for preventative maintenance, however more frequent sessions is recommended for acute injuries eg. sprained ankle, knee surgery, etc.
Q: Should I wear underwear?
A: It's totally up to you. I always tell my clients to undress to their level of comfort. But usually most everyone does one of two things. Clients take off the shirt, pants, and either leave their underpants on or take them off.
I would actually say a majority of my clients opt for no underwear during a massage. I believe most people find it more comfortable that way. But of course, everyone has their preference.
If the client leaves their underwear on during the massage, I will tuck the the sheets under the underwear when draping, it makes for a clean draping that is comfortably tight and secure.
I only undrape the part of the body I am working on at that time. The rest of the body is securely draped with the sheets so that nothing will be exposed.
Q: My Insurance doesn't cover all of the Massage. Can you split the receipt into two receipts?
A: No, This would be considered Insurance fraud as only one treatment was provided so only one receipt will be issued. Trying to figure out how to use up your benefits or scam the insurance company isn't the best way to truly reap the benefits of massage.

A: Thank you for being considerate and letting me know, However the treatment starts on time from the time slot you booked. Please give yourself enough time to arrive 5-10 minutes early incase you run into unforeseeable circumstances.
Q: I haven't used up all my Benefits and they Expire soon! Can you predate (Backdate) receipts for me?
A: No, This would be considered Insurance fraud. It is your responsibility to make time to take care of your body and mind. As well there is no Tax charged to the patient, which would make the prices even higher!
Q: Do you offer a Referral Bonus?
